I'm sorry...

I can't believe I haven't posted in forever! I kept telling myself that I was wanted to put up pictures with my next post, so I think that's why I was waiting, but I'm not home long enough to post at home. So, I'll post here at work and perhaps get those pictures up tomorrow morning. So, you all need a recap!!

Last Saturday I did the 5k Fun Run at church with Dennyse. I'm very proud to say, that we did it in 50:10, which according to my research is faster than most people on their first 5K. It was hard, but fun and I was so proud of us when we were done. After that, we went to the Swap Meet with Dennyse, Auggie, Dennyse's friend Liz and her little boy. We had so much fun! We sampled pineapple, talked to some Missionaries, bought veggies, a Yoda mask for Joey, headbands for Abby and a little shopping cart for Sophie (which she loves!). I found this awesome Coach Ipod case for Dennyse to get for her daughter. this was authentic and an old lady was selling it for $5 and it still had the tag on it and the Coach bag! Very cool! After that we all had lunch at Tomato Sweet (as Abby calls it) and ate soup to my heart's content!

After a run to the church bookstore, I went home and crashed before I got up to finish up preparing for my very first sharing time ever!!! Can you believe my first one was as the Primary President? I know, strange. It went really well, I talked about President Monson. But, I'm skipping ahead in the story. So, Saturday night I got everything prepared to get up bright and early Sunday. It was my first day as the Prez (as my husband says).

Sunday we get up, scramble and get dressed to go to church at our fabulous meeting time of 8am. Primary went well, as could be expected for my first time. I enjoyed Sharing Time and I think the kids did too. I think the adults learned alot about President Monson. It was fun. After the Ward Council meeting it was time to party down at Grandma's House.

My Memere to be exact. That's what I call my spunky 81 year old Grandma. She says that it's french for Grandmother. We went to her house to visit with her and other relatives I haven't seen in ages. I saw my cuz Paul and Barbara. Both are looking well and it seems fortune is smiling on them because they look healthy. My cousins Marsha and Jenny were also there and they played alot with Coco (my dog) who came along for the party. Coco and Sophie were the hits of the party. I also say lots o'Irish cousins I hadn't seen in a dog's age (tee-hee) but we all fit alright together. It was very fun. We ate and talked and laughed.

So, Monday I was being punished for something. I got up and had some stomach issues. Not fun, but I thought I would be fine, so I went to my jog and then got home and crashed since it was Pres Day. I got up at around 8am and then proceeded to have food poisoning until 9pm that night!!! Yes, my grandmother poisoned me. But, I still love her. I was not the only one sick, but I think I had it the worse!

I did go to work on Tuesday. I can't believe that I did, and that night went to Scouts to finish our decorations for the Blue and Gold Banquet. I got up and ran on Wednesday noticing that my knee was hurting. Well, now I can barely walk. I limped to my first ever Presidency Meeting on Wednesday night. We were out late, but got alot accomplished. Thursday was more Primary, this time training at the Stake Center. So today I will be doing nothing!!!!!! I can't wait.

Oh, I forgot! The Valentine's Day dance was special. I shared a dance with my man. I can't wait to see the picture they took of us. It's been to long since something that fun with just the two of us (in public I mean). When I get the picture I'll have my bro scan it so I can post it here for the world to see my crazy love, tee-hee!! Well, I think I'm all caught up and you are all exhausted from reading. I promise to get those pics of my Grandma's party up on Saturday.

TTFN!!!!

I will survive....

Valentine's Day was pretty quiet in my neck of the woods. I had some nice ladies at work give me chocolate (thanks Doris!)
I finished week one of my self-inflicted torture. I have jogged! I did all 5-2 minute jogs without walking! Yeah me! I have to admit the last one was very, very slow, compared to the previous just slow jogs, but I got it done. Now, my crazy friends are insisting I do a "fun run" with them. Oh, my crazy friends! I said I will do it, and I'm sticking to that promise!!!!

So, I do want to wrap up with a quick little telling of what happened at the drop off of the Soph this morning. I totally have to laugh! Amie and I were discussing my jogging and her oldest, Sean, asked me how much I weighed. I'm sure Amie was doing what all mother's do inside there head when their children ask a question adults would never dare. Then, to top off his cuteness, he tells me I can lose weight playing Dance, Dance Revolution (or DDR as Amie puts it). Aren't kids cute? Funny thing is, I think it may have been Ethan (can't remember) that asked me if I was going to have a baby once. I love it! Boys will be boys, and hey, kids are honest. And, at least he didn't tell me something I hadn't already realized about myself.

So, a shout out to Sean for his honesty and Amie for her sanity :) Love them boys!!!!!

Just keep jogging, just keep jogging...

I just remembered that I forgot to mention the other thing going on in my life in the blog I posted below (go there to check out my puppy Coco!). I was bamboozled by some "friends" (okay just kidding on that I do love them all) into joining a little jogging/walking group. It will be every Monday, Wednesday and Friday and we will jog 2 minutes and walk 4 minutes. So, here are some of my thoughts as it all went down...

Day 1 (monday)
4:30a.m. My first thought are ....that can't be the correct time on the clock. I do not waketh until it is after 6:00 in the morn. *sigh* I stumble to the bathroom where I look at my face with some streaks of eyeliner that didn't come off. Dang stuff, I can never get it all! I throw back my hair into a pony tail. It only all stays in the pony because I have not yet showered. I figure I will be covered in sweat in a little bit, so I'd have to shower again anyway. I go out to my dryer to grab the stuff I tossed into the wash the night before so I would have "workout gear." *sigh* it is all still damp. Groan, go about trying to locate something else to wear, finally locate everything and rush out to the car.

5:15am arrival.....I pull into the Stake Center. I immediately see a group of women that look like Olympic competitors and Beauty Queens. Seriously, why are the ladies in our church so pretty? We norms stick out like a sore thumb. I knew I was going to stick out among these ladies, I think the amount of weight I need to loose it what most of them currently weigh. I inwardly sigh and get out of the car. I find my friends and begin to awkwardly stretch. My stomach is doing backflips. I must be absolutely crazy. We break up into 2 groups: The Pros and the Slows (okay this is called Beginners). So, we walk to Greenway to commence the jogging portion. I jog for like 5 seconds and I'm breathing like an elephant. I have to drop down to a walk. Thank goodness a lady with a knee injury was there, she stayed with me when I was left in the dust. I couldn't do any of the 2 minute jogs. I would instead look at a street sign and make that my target and jog to that. You are supposed to do 5-2 minute jogs. I did probably 2 minutes total. I was horrible. We were done and I went on my way to a glorious shower.

Tuesday Morning (that reminds me-we need to go there Dennyse, but I digress...)
I wake up and my butt hurts. Seriously ouch! I'm sore everywhere else too, but when I sit down, Holy Cow! All day I'm thinking that there is no way that I will do a morning jog again.

Wednesday
5:15am there I was again! What a lunatic! So, out of the 5-2 minute jogs I did 3 totally. Mostly at an extremely slow pace, but hey, I did it. The other 2 I did almost the entire jog. I have to admit I cried, revealed my current weight (hoping to gain sympathy as to why I can't run any faster) hummed Primary tunes (a shout out to "I Hope They Call Me On a Mission") prayed, inwardly cursed and was embarrassed beyond belief. But, I will do it again!

I do have to say I am lucky that the ladies that have been helping me are so nice. I just hope they are not inwardly frustrated to have to waste their workout time on me. I am just hoping they are all counting it as service points and secretly want to be the trainers on "The Biggest Loser." That's exactly how I feel when I'm jogging, like a biggest Loser contestant. Like I told Dennyse this morning, they would put me with Jillian if I was on TBL, because I'd cry like a baby every workout! It would be great television (yeah, right).

Well, back to work. I'm waiting for the energy to kick in because right now I feel like I was hit by a bus!

Where to begin...

Wow, so many things have happened in the last week. It started the Sunday before last when the Bishop called me to be the Primary President. I know, I'm just as shocked as you are! Anyhoo, I have three amazing ladies working with me and I'm just hoping everything goes well. I'm sure praying that it does!

Also, my Grandparents loved the scrapbook that I made them. Here are some pics. Sorry, it's all in the lense as Christine says, but I no gotty!

And finally, James surprised me with an early Valentine's Day present. As usual, he couldn't wait, but it's okay because it was a puppy! We named her Coco and she is a chihuahua. Isn't she adorable! She sleeps right next to me all night she's so good.

So, I know it was a short post about a big thing in my life, but hey, I'm the Primary President, I don't have time to blog! Just kidding, I'll make sure I keep blogging, I know you would all miss me if I went away :)

Wednesday, February 6, 2008

Well, here it is. Please don't laugh as you watch my eyes dart to the computer screen for the words. If it goes okay, I may do another one :)

Yuck...

So, I've been sick. It hit me like a ton of bricks on Monday during work. Tuesday I was out. Wednesday finds me at my desk wondering why I came to work. *sigh*

Update on the cord, I borrowed one from my brother yesterday but was too sick to put up my video. I'll try today in between work and cubscouts. Did I mention the puking? That's new too. Joey was so sick on Monday night he was in the shower several times hosing himself off from getting sick everywhere (not to mention his tummy issues!).

So one more update before I finish with my quiz that Amie tagged me with. I finished my board book project I was working on for my Grandparents in Utah. I think it came out pretty good despite my lack of experience with the whole process. I'll try to post pictures of it too before it makes it's journey to Santa Clara Utah.

And here's the quiz:
A. The rules of this game are posted at the beginning.
B. Each player answers the question about themselves.
C. At the end of the post, the player then tags 5 people and posts their names, and then leaves a comment on their blog letting them know they have been tagged and asking them to read your blog to get the directions.

Questions:
10 yrs ago: I believe I was preggo with my Joey. Quite an interesting experience. Puking my guts out most of the day, cursing the ground James walked on. Just kidding! I was living at home and getting ready to welcome in my baby.

5 Things on my list of things to do today: Finish reports for work, get stuff for cubscouts, sleep, get better, turn in a list.

Things I would do if I suddenly was a Billionaire: Payoff my bills and my families, purchase large piece of land to build a home for my mom, brother and us-our's would be a replica of the Haunted mansion at Disneyland, of course liveable inside and bigger than it is there.

3 of my bad habits: Procrastinating, feeling bad for myself and my language (when I get upset, sometimes it just comes out!)

Places I have lived: Phoenix, Glendale, Peoria, and Surprise (brief stints in Utah and Florida when I was a wee child)

Jobs I have had: waitress, Human Resources specialist, Nurse Recruiter, Employee Relations Specialist

Things most people don't know about me: I've told so much already! How about, I can drink milk with every meal, no matter what I'm eating? And here's one for you, I don't shave above my knees. Not much hair there guys. Hey you asked!

Update!

Okay, an update on the song post. It's been recorded. It stinks, but hey you be the judge. Unfortunately, my USB(?) cord has been hijacked by my children and is somewhere in the house. So, when I can actually find the cord, you will have my video. Hopefully, this will occur soon...

Sorry, I know you were all on pins and needles(yeah, right))
