Spring Break Fever

Spring Break was pretty fun.  I had Emmalee with me for most of the week, so we saved our bigger outings until my days off.

Monday was pretty uneventful.  We spend most of our time enjoying our day and watching That 70's Show on Netflix.

Tuesday we spent with the Whitings at their house.  The kids and Jessica got into their spool (half spa, half pool, it's small but still a good size).  I'm not posting pics because Jessica would shoot me.

Wednesday we spent at Wet n Wild.  I got a couple of shots of the baby girls enjoying themselves.  Joey went off on his own and Abby met a random little girl and had a great time with her all day.  It was a bit cold, but because the sun was nice and bright, it was not too bad.

This was her own pose...yup I'm in BIG trouble!
Thursday we went to the movies and saw Gnomeo and Juliet, using one of Abby's birthday presents.  Well the girls and I did...Joey went and saw Battle LA, because there was "no way I'm seeing that dumb movie."  The movie was so-so but the older girls had fun.  Harley made it halfway through because she had a ton of snacks. (not the best pics)

Friday was a quiet day, although James and I did get to go on our usual date...the gym!  It was a ton of fun, but I'm glad school is back in!

Abby's 9th Birthday

Abby turned 9 on March 10th.  We decided to have her birthday party on March 12th.  I guess everyone decided to go out of town for Spring Break because not that many people came.  Oh, well, she had a great time.  We did Peter Piper and she got to make her own personal pizza...sausage of course!  Again, I only got a few pictures.  *sigh* one day I'll get it!

Cupcakes and ice cream!

Big Girl Bed

Although she's young, I decided to get Harley a big girl bed.  We put it in our room until she's older.  She loves it and even sleeps in it.  Not the whole night yet, but hey, she's a co-sleeper so I'm proud of her!

We decided to get a car because she loves cars and driving...in fact, any vehicle.  So, basically, Harley was an excellent name choice.

Here she is on her new bed (before we moved it):

And of course, Soph had to join her...

Lizard Adventure

James found a lizard when he was working that he brought home.  He brought it for our friend Ben since Ben's pet lizard had passed away.  Ben ended up not taking the lizard, but we had fun with it for a week.

The girl's called the lizard Pascal...after the lizard in Tangled

Sophie was always talking to it

Sophie didn't want the lizard to be lonely, so she drew him a lizard friend.

James and the Giant Peach

From December to February Joey was in the Theater Works production of James and the Giant Peach.  He had a great time and made a ton of new friends.  I ushered two productions so I got to see it for free.  I know that seeing a community theater production isn't always the cheapest thing, but when you do, it directly supports arts in the community.  It gives children and adults the opportunity to express themselves and to develop their talents.  It gives people and outlet for creativity and, mostly, it entertains.  So check out productions around the Valley...we have some amazing talent in the Valley of the Sun!  Support Local Theater!!!

Okay, off my soap box....here are some pics of an amazing production!!!

The director decided to give this classic story a steampunk feel...

One of the neatest things they used was shadow puppetry.  They used it throughout the show.  This is Joey's character arriving.

Swappin' n Meetin'

First of all, thanks to my brother Steve for fixing my computer so I could post!  My pics were locked on my malfunctioning laptop.  Now it's all good so here we go!

Back in January (ha!) we met together on a Saturday morning for some buffet food before hitting the swap meet.

Trying on sunglasses
